The most common two way radio frequency band in use now for motorcycle radios is PMR446, this is a licence free two way radio band within the UK. If PMR446 two way radios are to be used for training, good quality two way radios and headsets are essential. Most headset microphones for motorcycle radios on sale within the UK (unless you are prepared to pay a lot of money for them), are not noise cancelling so are only useful for Press to Talk communications, however our custom range of headsets with noise-cancelling microphones, are suitable for VOX Operation on radios which support this feature. We supply headsets for : Motorola, Multicom, Midland, Alan, Icom, Maxon, Kenwood, Yaesu and many other radios.

For long range requirements such as club rides, the Radiocommunications Agency has available a UK General Licence costing £60 for 3 years, for some uses. Contact us for details, the power for this licence is higher than PMR446 but equipment is more expensive.
